Dr. Noorain Inamdar: Bridging Medicine, Movement & Modern Prenatal Care
Pregnancy is often measured through scans, vitals, reports, and clinical milestones. But for Dr. Noorain Inamdar, true prenatal care has always meant looking beyond the numbers—to the woman experiencing the physical, emotional, and biomechanical changes of pregnancy.
Her journey is not the result of a passing wellness trend. It is the outcome of more than 14 years of professional learning, clinical experience, specialised education, and an unwavering desire to bridge the gap between medical care and intelligent movement.

A Foundation Built in Medicine
Dr. Noorain began her professional journey between 2011 and 2013 by earning her medical degree and developing a strong clinical understanding of the human body and healthcare.
But as her career progressed, she began noticing something that could not be explained by textbooks alone.
Between 2014 and 2015, she witnessed a recurring disconnect in prenatal care. Many women were receiving appropriate medical supervision, yet their day-to-day physical discomfort, movement challenges, and emotional concerns often received limited attention. Symptoms such as back pain, pelvic discomfort, posture-related difficulties, and restricted movement were sometimes treated as unavoidable aspects of pregnancy rather than concerns that could be understood and addressed.
By 2016, that awareness had become a defining question in her professional life: Could prenatal care offer more?
The Decision to Look Beyond Conventional Care
The answer led Dr. Noorain toward a multidisciplinary path.
In 2017, she completed her yoga degree from SVYASA, Bengaluru, gaining a deeper understanding of mindful movement, breath regulation, and body awareness. From 2018 to 2021, she continued refining her approach by combining her clinical medical knowledge with movement-based practices.
Her pursuit of specialised knowledge took another significant step in 2022, when she earned a prenatal Pilates certification from the UK. This added another dimension to her understanding of the changing physiological and biomechanical needs of pregnancy.
What emerged was more than a collection of qualifications. It was an integrated professional philosophy—one that brought together clinical understanding, anatomy, biomechanics, movement, breathing, and individual birth goals.
When the Gap Became Personal
The most difficult part of Dr. Noorain's journey was not the examinations, long study sessions, or professional certifications.
It was confronting a system where what she believed women needed did not always align with what conventional care was prepared to offer.
There were moments when she questioned whether she was pushing too far. Her approach seemed too holistic for some clinical environments and too medically structured for some wellness spaces. At times, the professional isolation was difficult.
She recalls seeing women leave appointments feeling unheard when physical discomforts were dismissed as simply another part of pregnancy.
One consultation became particularly memorable.
A first-time expectant mother, whom Dr. Noorain refers to as Ananya, arrived at six months of pregnancy carrying months of frustration. Her scans were normal, her medical indicators were reassuring, yet she was struggling with severe backache, pelvic pain, and increasing difficulty walking by the end of the day.
"They told me it was just part of pregnancy," Ananya explained. "But I can barely walk by evening. Nobody can tell me what I can actually do about it."
Clinically, everything appeared to be fine.
But Dr. Noorain could see another reality.
The patient was medically stable, yet physically and emotionally distressed. Her experience revealed the space between a normal clinical report and the lived reality of pregnancy.
That consultation stayed with Dr. Noorain long after the clinic had closed.
It became a turning point.
She realised that remaining within conventional boundaries would not answer the questions she had been asking for years. She wanted to build a bridge between clinical medicine and purposeful, scientifically informed movement.
Building a New Prenatal Perspective
From that point forward, Dr. Noorain began shaping an integrated model of prenatal wellness that respects both medical requirements and the individuality of each pregnancy.
Her philosophy is built around the belief that every expectant mother deserves personalised guidance—one that considers physiological data while also acknowledging movement patterns, physical comfort, confidence, and personal birth aspirations.
This vision eventually led to the founding of MY WOMB JOURNEY, an educational wellness brand created to connect clinical prenatal requirements with holistic movement science.
Through this platform, Dr. Noorain continues to work toward creating accessible, informed, and structured approaches to prenatal wellness.
From Practitioner to Educator
Her work today extends beyond individual consultations.
Dr. Noorain is actively involved in developing professional webinars and certification modules for fitness instructors, helping them better understand the intersection of pregnancy, clinical considerations, anatomy, biomechanics, and movement science.
She is also continuing to design specialised health programmes and curriculum frameworks, drawing on her 14-year multidisciplinary journey and professional collaboration with Dr. Namra.
Her objective is clear: to help create a stronger connection between healthcare professionals, movement specialists, fitness instructors, and the women they serve.
Strength Beyond the Clinic
Dr. Noorain's commitment to human movement is not limited to her professional work.
Her personal athletic achievements reflect the same discipline that defines her career. She has completed a 200-kilometre running event and a 500-kilometre ultra-endurance run within a six-month period—milestones that demonstrate her deep connection with endurance, physical preparation, and disciplined movement.
These experiences have further enriched her understanding of what the human body can achieve when movement is approached with knowledge, preparation, and purpose.
A Vision Still in Motion
Today, Dr. Noorain Inamdar stands at the intersection of medicine, movement, education, and women's wellness.
Her 14-year journey represents more than professional progression. It reflects a persistent effort to question gaps, pursue deeper expertise, and develop a model of prenatal care that sees the whole person—not merely a medical chart.
From earning her medical degree to studying yoga at SVYASA, gaining international prenatal Pilates expertise, undertaking ultra-endurance challenges, founding MY WOMB JOURNEY, and educating fitness professionals, every chapter has contributed to the same larger purpose.
To make pregnancy care more informed, more personalised, and more human.
And perhaps that is the most meaningful part of Dr. Noorain's story: she did not simply identify a gap in prenatal care.
She chose to build the bridge.
