Lorraine Mathias: From Style Icon to Women’s Empowerment Coach
Lorraine Mathias has never lived life in a straight line. Her journey is layered with fashion, travel, leadership, courage, and an unwavering commitment to service. She is the kind of woman who doesn’t just reinvent herself—she expands, stepping into every new chapter with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
Her early professional years with iconic brands like Lakme and Unilever naturally placed her in the world of beauty, fashion shows, and style. Surrounded by glamour, beauty products, and fashionable attires, Lorraine found herself deeply drawn to the industry—not just for its shine, but for the confidence and identity it could create. That passion soon transformed into a powerful step forward, leading her to become a Super Model.

But Lorraine’s ambitions were never limited to one world. With a deep love for travel and a desire to broaden her horizons, she embraced another path and became a Travel Consultant. For her, travel wasn’t simply movement—it was perspective. It shaped her understanding of people, cultures, and the realities that exist beyond comfort zones, adding depth to the way she later approached empowerment and social work.
In 2009, Lorraine entered one of the most meaningful chapters of her life by joining the Women’s Commission of the Archdiocese of Mumbai, where she served until 2023. Heading Navi Mumbai, she played a significant leadership role and became actively involved in training, mentorship, and women-focused initiatives. Her participation in the Women’s Leadership Training Program strengthened her assertiveness and gave her the tools to speak up, lead, and stand firm in difficult spaces.
That strength was tested in her corporate life as well. Working in multinational environments, Lorraine faced challenges from superiors, but she refused to bend when she felt something was wrong. She chose integrity over comfort, and her assertive nature became one of her greatest strengths—especially as she moved deeper into the world of advocacy and empowerment.
Over the years, her work with the downtrodden brought its own set of battles. Lorraine speaks about facing contradiction and apathy while fighting for marginalized and battered women, but she has continued to push forward, driven by the belief that every woman deserves dignity, safety, and a fair chance at a better life.
Her public achievements have been equally remarkable. Lorraine was crowned ‘Queen of Empress’ on Cordelia Cruises in 2021, and in 2023 she earned the title ‘Style Icon of India’. She has won several pageant subtitles such as Multi-faceted, Confident, Iconic, and Charming Personality, and continues to be recognized as a Show Stopper, Show Opener, Guest of Honour, and even a Jury Panelist. In 2023, she was also awarded the title of ‘Women’s Empowerment Coach’, reflecting the impact she has created beyond the spotlight.
Lorraine’s modeling portfolio reflects her versatility and strong industry presence. She has modeled for major e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, H&M, and Meesho, and has worked across campaigns for diamond, pearl and silver jewellery, sarees, dresses, perfumes, handbags, shades, hats, soaps, and more. She is also a trusted brand ambassador for travel agencies, blending her love for travel with her public influence.
Her name has consistently appeared in prominent media features and magazines. Lorraine has graced the covers and pages of Perfect Woman Magazine, Femine Her, Woman I Can, Glorious Magazine, and has been featured in Global Divas, Bombay Filmfame, J J Crowns, and more. She was also featured in Mid-Day as one of the Top 60 Inspirational Women of the Year in April 2025, and earned recognition as one of the Top 12 Elite Faces of 2026 (AIAAAEF).
Yet, behind the titles and covers lies the heart of her story—service. Lorraine is part of the Managing Committee of CHEMS (Children for Higher Educations and Mentoring Society), runs her own trust for educating street children in the outskirts of Bangalore, and provides skilled training for economically backward women so they can become self-reliant. Her philanthropy is not a side role—it is one of her strongest identities.
Looking ahead, Lorraine intends to begin a Vocational Training Center for underprivileged women, helping them gain skills, independence, and dignity. She also plans to create awareness around organ donation, using her voice to support causes that can truly change lives. Lorraine Mathias is a woman of many worlds—style, strength, leadership, and service—proving that a woman can shine in the spotlight while still holding the hands of those who need support the most.
