Ramesh Sangle: From IT Engineer to Mr Bharat USA 2025

Some dreams begin in childhood and refuse to fade, no matter how many responsibilities stand in their way. For Ramesh Sangle, the dream of becoming an actor began with his admiration for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. What started with college dramas and cultural activities eventually grew into a journey that took him from engineering and the corporate world to television, theatre, international acting opportunities and, ultimately, the prestigious title of Mr Bharat USA 2025.

When Acting Became More Than a Dream

Ramesh’s connection with acting began during his engineering days. College cultural activities and university dramas gave him his first opportunities to perform, allowing him to discover a passion that would stay with him long after graduation.

However, academics and professional responsibilities soon took priority. After completing his studies and beginning his career as an engineer in the IT industry, acting remained a personal dream rather than a professional pursuit.

His journey took an important turn when he travelled to the United States. There, he began exploring acting classes in Hamden, Connecticut, and gradually immersed himself in the craft. His efforts led to opportunities in Hollywood award-winning short films, including Baristas and Swink, in 2018.

That experience strengthened his belief that acting was something he could pursue seriously.

From the Corporate World to the Camera

Returning to India in 2019, Ramesh began exploring audition opportunities in Pune while continuing his professional career. He also became involved in theatre within his own IT company, an experience that helped him sharpen his performance skills and gain confidence.

Then came the challenging phase of balancing a demanding engineering career with the unpredictable world of auditions.

After office hours, Ramesh would search for audition opportunities, prepare performance videos late at night and send them to casting directors. The arrival of online auditions during the pandemic made it possible for him to continue pursuing opportunities while managing his professional responsibilities.

For nearly a year, he auditioned consistently while continuing his theatre work.

Then came the call that changed everything.

The First Television Break

Ramesh received an opportunity from Colors TV and Balaji Telefilms to play a doctor in Molkki. Although the role was small, it became his first major television break.

For Ramesh, it was much more than a role—it was the moment when years of preparation, auditions and persistence finally translated into a professional opportunity.

He continued accepting smaller roles whenever his schedule allowed, gradually building his experience and expanding his range as a performer.

His television journey eventually included appearances in several popular shows, including Imlie and Yeh Hai Chahatein on Star Plus, Chikoo on Star Plus, Bhagya Lakshmi on Zee TV, Love Panti on MX Player and Molkki on Colors TV.

Each role offered him another opportunity to learn, experiment and explore different characters.

The Difficult Years Behind the Screen

Behind every television appearance was a demanding routine.

Ramesh describes the audition period as one of the most difficult phases of his acting journey. His days were devoted to his corporate career, while his evenings and nights were dedicated to acting.

Managing office responsibilities, audition preparation, theatre, family life and personal commitments required careful planning.

The uncertainty of acting made the journey even more challenging. Since acting opportunities could not initially provide the stability of a full-time profession, Ramesh continued working as an engineer while pursuing his passion alongside it.

Rather than allowing the circumstances to stop him, he found a way to make both worlds work together.

His corporate career provided stability, while acting provided creative fulfillment.

A New Chapter in the United States

Ramesh’s story took another significant turn when he entered the world of pageantry in 2024.

He credits Mohana Namale Jog, CEO of MyModa Glam, for encouraging him to participate in the Connecticut state pageant conducted by MyDreamUSA. It became his first major step into pageantry in the United States.

His efforts quickly translated into recognition.

In 2024, he became 1st Runner-Up for Mr Bharat Connecticut 2024, receiving the honour from Bollywood actress Tulip Joshi.

He subsequently participated at the national level in Miss Bharat USA 2024, conducted in New Jersey, where he was named 1st Runner-Up and received the award from Bollywood actress Neelam Kothari.

But the following year would bring an even greater achievement.

Mr Bharat USA 2025

In 2025, Ramesh participated in the national-level MyDreamUSA pageant once again.

This time, he emerged as the Winner of the Miss Bharat National-Level Pageant 2025, earning the prestigious title of Mr Bharat USA 2025. The honour was presented by actor Jugal Hansraj.

For Ramesh, the achievement represented more than a pageant crown. It marked the coming together of his years of performance experience, discipline, confidence and his connection with Indian culture.

Beyond the Crown

For Ramesh, becoming Mr Bharat USA is not simply about holding a title. He sees the position as an opportunity to become a role model within the Indian-American community and contribute meaningfully to cultural and social initiatives.

Living in the United States, he hopes to use his platform to celebrate Indian culture and strengthen connections across the Indian community.

He also plans to participate in social and community events and contribute to initiatives that create a positive impact.

At the same time, his acting journey continues.

Ramesh plans to further develop his acting skills, particularly by learning from the creative environment of New York. He also hopes to become involved in community theatre and explore more challenging roles.

His theatre journey has already included an opportunity with SETU, where he played a lead role in the acclaimed production When Gandhi Met Mohammed.

A Journey Still in Motion

Ramesh Sangle’s journey is a reminder that a dream does not always have to follow a straight path.

Sometimes, it grows quietly through college performances. Sometimes, it survives behind a corporate desk. Sometimes, it takes shape through late-night audition tapes and countless rejections. And sometimes, it finds a new expression under the spotlight of a pageant stage.

From an engineer balancing work with auditions to a television actor and now Mr Bharat USA 2025, Ramesh has continued to create space for his passion in every chapter of his life.

His story is ultimately about refusing to let a demanding career silence a childhood dream—and finding a way to let professional ambition, artistic expression and cultural purpose exist side by side.

For Ramesh, the crown may be an achievement, but the journey is far from over.
