AAINA to the World: Santwana Singh’s Story of Reflection and Courage

An introvert by nature, Santwana always felt deeply. Emotions came naturally to her, but expressing them did not. There was a time when she felt disconnected, unsure of her own voice, and overwhelmed by thoughts she couldn’t easily share with the world. Instead of seeking noise, she chose stillness. Instead of speaking out, she turned inward.

In that phase of solitude, she found an unlikely companion—a mirror she called “AAINA.” It became more than just a reflection of her appearance; it became a space of honesty. Standing before it, she began conversations with herself, wrote down her thoughts, and slowly started understanding her emotions instead of suppressing them. That simple act of self-reflection became the foundation of her transformation.

What began as personal healing soon found direction. Santwana took her first step toward expression by launching her podcast, “AAINA: Be Real.” It was a one-way reflective space where she shared her thoughts on life, emotions, and social experiences. There was no pressure of immediate judgment—just her voice, finally finding its rhythm.

As her confidence grew, so did her courage to step outside her comfort zone. She began sharing her poetry and writings, eventually becoming a co-author in multiple anthology books. But one of the most defining steps in her journey was facing her fear of people. Open mic platforms, once intimidating, became her training ground. Each performance chipped away at hesitation and replaced it with belief.

Today, Santwana stands as an emerging author with her own book, “Marriage Isn’t Scary, People Are: Before the YES – An Arranged Marriage Diary.” The title itself reflects her honest, unfiltered approach to real-life emotions and relationships—something she has consistently stayed true to.

Her journey, however, was not without challenges. Self-doubt often clouded her path. The fear of being judged, misunderstood, or simply not being “good enough” held her back at times. There were moments when she questioned her decisions and her ability to move forward. Overthinking became a constant battle, and emotional overwhelm was something she had to learn to manage.

But instead of letting these struggles define her, Santwana chose to work through them—step by step. Writing regularly, reflecting deeply, and pushing herself into uncomfortable spaces like open mics helped her build confidence. What once felt like limitations slowly turned into strengths.

Through her journey, she discovered a simple yet powerful truth: many people feel deeply but struggle to express it. That realization became her purpose. Through her words, her voice, and her platforms, she set out to create a space where emotions feel real, understood, and accepted.

Today, her achievements reflect not just milestones, but transformation. From starting her podcast “AAINA: Be Real,” to building her creative platform “SantwanaDiaries,” from contributing to anthology books to stepping into the world as an independent author—each step represents her growth from silence to self-expression.

Looking ahead, Santwana is focused on expanding her impact. She aims to successfully publish her book and continue writing stories that capture real-life emotions, relationships, and personal growth. She also plans to grow her podcast and digital platform, while exploring more public speaking opportunities to further strengthen her connection with people.

At its core, her vision is simple yet powerful—to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and understood.

Santwana Singh’s story is not just about becoming a writer or a speaker. It is about finding your voice when it feels lost, and having the courage to let it be heard—one honest word at a time.
