Shivangi Garg: From Three Years of Immobility to a Life Dedicated to Healing Minds
Life has a way of testing us in ways we never imagine. For Shivangi Garg, the journey was not defined by comfort or certainty but by challenges that could have easily broken her spirit. Instead, they became the foundation of a mission dedicated to understanding, healing, and helping others.
An MBA postgraduate by qualification, Shivangi initially followed a traditional academic path. However, life soon presented her with experiences that changed her perspective forever. Witnessing pain and suffering around her sparked a deep desire to understand the emotional and psychological struggles people face. This led her to study the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and later pursue psychology, a field that resonated deeply with her purpose.

But before she could help others heal, she had to fight her own battles.
After her marriage and the birth of her two children, Shivangi faced one of the most difficult phases of her life. A severe health condition left her bedridden for nearly three years. She was unable to sit up on her own, and during this period, she gained nearly 30 kilograms. The woman she saw in the mirror felt unfamiliar. Physically exhausted and emotionally drained, she struggled to recognize herself.
The road back was long and demanding. It took years of patience, determination, and self-acceptance to rebuild her confidence and regain control of her life. During this transformative period, her studies in POCSO and psychology gave her a deeper understanding of human behavior, trauma, and healing. What she learned academically began to connect with her personal experiences, helping her see life through a new lens.
Through every difficult day, one force remained constant—her family.
When Shivangi felt she had lost the will to move forward, her loved ones became her strength. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in her kept her grounded during moments when hope seemed distant. She credits her family for helping her stay strong and for becoming the support system that carried her through her darkest days.
Today, Shivangi's journey continues with a clear vision. As she works toward completing her PhD, her goal is to use her knowledge and experience to support those who need help the most. She believes that understanding the human mind and offering guidance can create meaningful change in people's lives, particularly for individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges.
Her dedication and contributions have already earned significant recognition. Over the years, she has received multiple honors, including awards from Rotary, the SBI Women Entrepreneur of the Year recognition, and the prestigious national title at the Bharat Iconic Awards.
Shivangi Garg's story is not simply about overcoming adversity. It is about transforming personal struggles into a source of strength and using life's toughest lessons to create a positive impact on others. Her journey stands as a reminder that even in the most difficult circumstances, purpose can emerge, and a new chapter can begin.
