Vibha Singh: Building BalansCo to Transform Women’s Health and Wellbeing

Women’s health is often discussed one concern at a time, even though the changes a woman experiences are closely connected. Shifts in energy, sleep, weight, mood and hormonal health can raise questions that are not always easy to answer. For Vibha Singh, these questions became personal after motherhood and as she entered her 40s. What began as a search for answers about her own changing body gradually grew into a larger purpose: making women’s health information, products and expert support more accessible.

That purpose led her to establish BalansCo, a women’s health company built around the belief that women deserve more than isolated solutions to individual concerns. Through products, education, community engagement and access to qualified experts, Vibha wants to create a space where women can better understand their bodies and find support through different stages of life.

As she began speaking with other women, she realised that her experience was far from unique. Many were asking similar questions, looking for reliable information and seeking a place where they could discuss their health without hesitation. These conversations strengthened her conviction that women needed a more connected approach to health and wellbeing.

BalansCo emerged from that understanding. For Vibha, the goal is not simply to develop products, but to build a company that helps women feel informed, heard and better equipped to make decisions about their health.

Turning a Personal Experience into a Purpose

Building BalansCo meant looking beyond her own experience. Vibha understood that while her journey had given her a starting point, creating a responsible health-focused business required research, expert guidance and a willingness to learn from other women.

One of her biggest challenges was addressing women's health as an interconnected subject. Menstrual health, PCOS, sleep difficulties, stress and perimenopause can affect women at different stages, yet finding clear and connected support is not always easy. For Vibha, the challenge was to bring these concerns into a more accessible conversation without oversimplifying them.

She approached this responsibility step by step. She focused on developing products for specific needs, making health education easier to understand and building a community where women could ask questions without fear of judgement. Listening to their experiences became an important part of deciding what BalansCo should offer next.

The process also taught her to recognise the limits of what a business can provide. Personal experiences can inspire a solution, but health-related decisions must be supported by qualified expertise. For Vibha, maintaining that distinction is essential to building a company women can trust.

Growing with Clarity and Care

Women’s health is a broad field, and deciding where to begin has been another important challenge. There are many needs to address, but developing every product, service and programme at once could affect the quality of each.

Vibha chose a more measured approach. BalansCo began with products designed around identified needs and gradually expanded its focus towards education, community engagement and access to experts. Each stage offered an opportunity to understand what women were looking for and where further support was needed.

She also places importance on how health information is communicated. Women deserve explanations that are clear enough to understand but accurate enough to support informed decisions. This means avoiding unsupported promises and recognising when professional medical advice is necessary.

During difficult periods, Vibha has relied on expert input, practical decision-making and a willingness to learn. Rather than measuring progress only by how quickly the company grows, she focuses on building a foundation that can support its long-term goals.

Creating a Connected Women’s Health Ecosystem

Vibha’s vision for BalansCo extends across the different stages of a woman’s life, from menstrual and reproductive health to perimenopause, menopause and healthy ageing.

She plans to develop four connected areas: women-specific products, accessible health education, a supportive community and access to qualified experts and doctors. In the near term, she wants to make the community more useful through regular conversations, practical programmes and expert-led sessions.

As the company develops, she also hopes to explore structured health programmes and services, with appropriate attention to professional guidance and applicable regulations.

Her larger ambition is for women to turn to BalansCo not only when a symptom becomes difficult to manage, but also when they want to understand their bodies better, ask questions or make informed choices about their health.

For Vibha, meaningful support should be available throughout a woman’s health journey rather than limited to isolated concerns or particular phases of life.

Building the Foundations of BalansCo

Although BalansCo is still in its early stages, Vibha has already established several foundations for its growth. The company has not yet received formal institutional awards or recognition and is applying for recognition under the Startup India/DPIIT programme. Her current achievements lie in turning an idea into an operating business and developing its initial offerings.

The first milestone was translating her personal experience into a purpose that could serve other women. What began as a search for answers to her own health questions became the starting point for a wider effort to make women’s health information and support more accessible.

BalansCo has since developed its initial product portfolio, including Flow Relief, Flow Relief+, PCOS Ease and Hush. These products are designed around identified needs related to menstrual health, PCOS, sleep and stress support.

Establishing a direct-to-consumer presence and marketplace sales has given the company a way to reach customers and learn from their experiences. Alongside its products, BalansCo is working to make health education a central part of its offering, recognising that understanding one’s health can be as important as finding a product intended to address a specific need.

Another meaningful step has been beginning to build a community for open conversations and expert guidance. Although it is still growing, this initiative reflects the broader purpose behind the company: giving women a space to ask questions, exchange experiences and seek reliable information without judgement.

A Vision That Begins with Listening

For Vibha Singh, BalansCo represents an ongoing effort to address a need she first recognised in her own life and later heard echoed in the experiences of other women.

Her approach combines product development with education, community building and access to professional expertise. As the company grows, the challenge will be to expand its offerings while maintaining the care and clarity that underpin its purpose.

She hopes BalansCo will become a trusted part of women’s lives, offering support as their bodies, questions and health needs change over time. At the heart of this vision is a simple idea: women should have access to understandable information, meaningful support and the confidence to make informed decisions about their health.
